Chinese Unicorn stuns world with all-weather EV battery breakthrough.

How does this new battery technology compare to traditional lithium-ion batteries in terms of energy density and temperature tolerance?

An unprecedented breakthrough in electrical vehicle (EV) battery technology by Chinese researchers has stunned the world, setting new expectations for the future of green energy.

The Chinese-led team of scientists developed an all-weather EV battery that could help reduce the massive reliance on fossil fuels that has defined the transportation industry of the last century. This advancement represents a giant leap forward for electric vehicles, as it could mark the beginning of a major shift towards sustainable transportation.

Made of an advanced material structure that is able to maintain its performance in extreme temperatures, the newly released Chinese battery is able to tolerate temperatures that range from high-heat to -40 degrees Fahrenheit. This ability was previously unheard of in electric vehicle batteries, which would usually be rendered useless after extreme temperatures.

The efficiency of this new technology could be monumental for the electric vehicle industry. EVs could finally gain the temperature tolerance that is necessary for them to become a viable option for many different climates. This could be especially beneficial for people living in colder climates, where typical battery technology would struggle to maintain its charge.

In addition to its temperature tolerance, this new Chinese battery is also much more energy-dense than traditional lithium-ion batteries. This makes it capable of longer distances between charges and reduces the amount of time it takes to recharge an EV.

The new battery marks a significant advance in the sustainability of transportation, and could potentially open the way for a transportation revolution. This Chinese-led technological innovation could enable a fully green energy-driven future.

Chinese battery startup Greater Bay Technology has made a breakthrough that could revolutionize electric car ownership – the Phoenix cell. This lithium ion battery is made with superconducting materials and contains thermal management technology that can heat the battery back from -4F to 77F in five minutes, allowing it to operate as normal and charge within six minutes in all weather conditions. This means that electric car owners no longer have to worry about the loss of power capability and range in cold climates. The Phoenix battery is said to fully charge within 15 minutes for an average range of 500 kilometers (310 miles) on a charger with sufficient output. This battery is fitted in the V Plus electric SUV from GAC’s Aion, the third-most popular EV brand in China behind BYD and Tesla Inc. Greater Bay has already become a unicorn — a startup valued at over $1 billion — within two years of its founding. The Phoenix battery will be powering some of Aion’s EVs next year and the startup is also in talks with other carmakers to use the cell, which has a range of 1,000 kilometers in a single charge. This could be the breakthrough that leads to mass adoption of electric vehicles.
