Dow Jones Futures Dip: Rally Retreats On Apple; 5 Equities In Buy Zones.

What are the risks associated with Dow Jones Industrial Average Futures and the five equities in the buy zone?

As markets are struggling, Dow Jones Futures take a dip as the rally retreats on Apple. Despite the overall dip in futures, five equities remain in buy zones where investment is still recommended.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average Futures fell 0.51% to 31,390, while the S&P 500 Futures slid 0.55% and the Nasdaq 100 Futures pulled back 0.11% on Thursday morning. Apple led the retreat in the Nasdaq 100, with the stock down 1.2% premarket Thursday.

Despite the retreat of the overall market, there are still five equities in buy zones, suggesting that investors should remain attentive and still consider investments. These include retailer Ross Stores (ROST), rental car giant Hertz Global (HTZ) and toy maker Mattel (MAT).

Ross Stores, nearing an all-time high, is on the brink of a potential double-bottom base breakout. The stock is 4% away from a 161.70 buy point. Analysts have given it a Solid Growth rating, with a 98 out of 99 IBD Composite Rating.

Hertz Global is trading just below an 18.70 buy point from a flat base. On Wednesday, the stock rose following news that Hertz and Porsche agreed to launch a joint venture for subscription car rental services. According to an IBD analysis of the stock, analysts have given it a Solid Growth rating, with a 97 out of 99 IBD Composite Rating.

Finally, Mattel is trading just below a 23.01 buy point in a flat base. IBD researchers note that the stock has a Moderate Growth rating of 58 out of 99 and is currently trading well under its normal ranges.

Despite the overall retreat of markets, investors should still remain vigilant and consider investments with the five remaining equities in buy zones. That is because these stocks offer strong potential returns in the near-term given their current ratings. As usual, investors should conduct their own due diligence and always use stop-losses and position sizes when investing.
