Where and how blockchain is actually stored in case of Hyperledger?

I am working on IBM Blockchain Foundation Developer course on Cognitive Class and there is one question that I have – Where is this blockchain data actually stored in case of Hyperledger + IBM Blockchain Platform extension for VS Code?
Is it in some human-readable file (or not) on disk which I can find?
