Upbit launches AZTEC trading pairs against KRW, BTC, USDT

Bitcoin can bounce higher — but the market still lacks fuel for a real run

South Korea’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Upbit, announced the launch of trading pairs for AZTEC against KRW, BTC, and USDT. AZTEC is a privacy-focused Layer 2 solution built on Ethereum, designed to facilitate secure and programmable smart contracts while maintaining a cryptographically encrypted state. Following its introduction, Upbit will impose temporary restrictions on trading, including limitations on buy orders and the types of orders accepted. Additionally, deposits will only be permitted through the AZTEC-Ethereum network using a specific contract address, adhering to travel rule compliance for transactions originating from approved platforms.
