The New and Improved 0x Docs

Revamped documentation to simplify integrating with 0x

Today, 0x Documentation received a much-needed overhaul. Our goal with this redesign is to provide more structure and significantly improve the developer experience across three main areas:

  1. Getting up-to-speed on what you can do with 0x
  2. Finding the right place to get started
  3. Accessing the content you’re looking for

Going forward, all of the content within our documentation will be broken up into 4 distinct categories to make things easier to find:

1. Core Concepts

In this section, we cover all the core concepts you’ll need to understand to effectively build on 0x. Here you’ll learn about what the 0x protocol does, how it works, and what you can do with it.

2. Guides

Guides are where you can get hands-on with building on 0x. Whether you’re integrating 0x Instant or building a decentralized exchange from scratch, our guides will walk you through the process end-to-end.

3. On-Chain API Explorer (coming soon!)

The on-chain API explorer will allow developers to explore the many smart contract methods at their disposal for interacting with 0x protocol. It will provide an explanation of every method, along with code snippets for how to call the methods using our contract wrapper libraries. This section of the docs is still a WIP, but we hope to get it in the hands of developers soon.

4. Tools & Libraries

There are currently 35+ 0x-related packages, libraries, CLIs, Docker images, and API clients and the number keeps growing. We‘ve made it much easier for developers to find what they’re looking for by adding filters for language, developer persona, and skill level.

Every piece of content within our docs is now accessible via search. If it exists, you’ll easily be able to find it.

Over the coming weeks, we plan on releasing more in-depth guides that will serve as the canonical paths for getting started with 0x. If you have any ideas for guides you wish existed, please let us know! The best way to get in touch with us is through Discord or 0x.org.
