ARK Invest has filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for approval to list the world’s first Ether exchange-traded fund (ETF). The ETF would allow investors to gain exposure to Ether, the second-largest digital asset, on the public markets.
Bitwise Asset Management has withdrawn its application with the SEC to list an exchange-traded fund (ETF) that would be indexed to the market capitalization of Bitcoin and Ether. The firm said the decision was made given concerns over “market structure and investor protection issues.”
