New York Knicks star point guard Jalen Brunson is undergoing surgery on his left wrist, and the NBA Finals MVP is expected to return to basketball activities later this summer, sources told ESPN on Tuesday.
Brunson played through the left wrist injury during the Knicks’ championship run, sources told ESPN, and it now requires offseason surgery.
Brunson averaged 32.6 points, 4.6 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 2.0 steals in five games as the Knicks beat the San Antonio Spurs for the title. The left-handed point guard set a Knicks record for points in a Finals game (45) in the series close-out win.
