Web3 Social Media Manager, X (Part-Time) — Null
Null is creating a new DeFi primitive: a market on anything (any asset, yield stream, or financial product or metric), expanding what’s possible in trustless finance. We’re a small pre-seed team backed by leading crypto investors and some of the founding architects of Uniswap. We operate with deep conviction in crypto’s first principles: open systems, trustless architecture, decentralization, and user sovereignty.
The Role
We’re looking for a writer and thread-weaver who can take a genuinely new financial primitive and build an audience around it. Someone who lives on the timeline, has a point of view, and can turn a complex idea into something people actually want to read.
What You’ll Do
- Own the voice: You define how Null sounds and keep it consistent across every post; sharp, technically credible, and recognizable without the handle attached.
- Write the content: Threads, mechanism explainers, market commentary, product updates, and replies. Original writing is the bulk of this role.
- Run the account: Set the cadence and hold it. You decide what gets posted and when, watch what performs and adjust, and you keep the account moving without being asked.
- Live in the replies: Show up in the conversations that matter, as a participant rather than a broadcaster, and build relationships with the accounts and communities worth being close to at launch.
- Lead the launch beats: Private beta and public launch are the two beats that matter most. You’ll plan and execute how we tell those stories.
This Role is a Fit If…
- You’re deep in crypto: You’ve been in the space for years, you’re on the timeline daily, and the opinions you hold about DeFi design are ones you arrived at yourself.
- You speak the mechanics: Perps, funding rates, AMMs, vaults, collateralization – you understand them well enough to explain them, not just reference them.
- You write with range: Our readers span DeFi natives and people making their first onchain trade. You can write for both without dumbing anything down or losing anyone.
- You have a distinct voice: We want a feed people follow for the writing, not just the announcements. You take positions, and you can defend them.
- You’ve built before: You can point to accounts you’ve grown or written for, ideally in crypto, ideally from a cold start.
- You run yourself: You have good instincts for what’s worth posting and what isn’t, and you trust them. Autonomy suits you better than a handed-down calendar.
The Details
- Part-time contract, ~8 hours per week to start, with room to grow as we approach launch
- Fully remote, any timezone
- You’ll work directly with the founder
To Apply
Include the following in your application:
- Your X handle
- Two or three accounts you’ve written for or grown, with a note on your role
- A short suggestion on how you’d approach the first 90 days of a protocol account starting at zero
When applying, mention the word CANDYSHOP to show you read the job post completely.
