US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has emphasized that the passage of the Clarity Act could help stabilize the recently battered crypto markets and restore investor confidence. Bitcoin, which reached a record high in October 2025, has since lost approximately 50% of its value amid volatile conditions. The Clarity Act aims to solidify digital asset regulation; however, its progress has been stalled due to disagreements, notably involving prominent crypto entities like Coinbase, which withdrew support earlier this year. Meetings between crypto executives and US banking representatives have resumed at the White House, with parties reporting productive discussions. As Bessent points out, resolving these issues and providing legislative clarity is crucial for calming market volatility and moving forward.
