Anthropic is partnering with CodePath, the largest provider of collegiate computer science education in the US, to integrate its AI tools Claude and Claude Code into the curricula of over 20,000 students at community colleges, state schools, and HBCUs. This initiative aims to address education equity by equipping students from low-income backgrounds, who make up over 40% of CodePath’s enrollment, with advanced AI resources that were previously accessible primarily to elite institutions. By embedding Claude into key AI courses, such as Foundations of AI Engineering and AI Open-Source Capstone, students will gain hands-on experience contributing to real-world projects, enhancing their educational opportunities in a rapidly evolving tech landscape.
