Why The New hERC-1155 Token Will Change Ethereum And Blockchain Solutions Forever. — MUST READ
The hERC-1155 Token combines both fungible and non-fungible token capabilities.
Currently, the blockchain ecosystem is divided. You have to choose between your token being fungible (interchangeable) or non-fungible (one-of-a-kind). This is not practical because the real world combines both of these.
Example #1: A single piece of art is unique (non-fungible), but the artwork itself has a monetary value (fungible).
Example #2: A real estate contract between two parties is unique (non-fungible), but the contract discusses an exchange in monetary value (fungible).
Example #3: A gift certificate is unique (non-fungible), but the monetary value on the gift certificate is not (fungible).
The examples are endless.
