Because unlike every other tool for sending money over the internet he don’t need trust in any intermediary. The lack of any corporation in between means that Bitcoin is the world’s first public and 100% digital payment infrastructure.
The only public and free payments infrastructure from person to person that the world’s knows is cash in the model of paper money and only works in face-to-face transactions.

If someone wants to pay something using the same principal of cash using a phone or a computer over the internet using a public and free infrastructure you can’t without Bitcoin. Only using a bank.
Using the blockchain technology anyone can make a transfer of value to anyone else regardless their nationality, race, religion, gender or creditworthiness, simply registering that transaction in a public ledger securely and immutable.
Why Bitcoin can’t be shutdown?
Because it’s free, public and available to anyone in the world, and is not owned or controlled by any entity. Like Internet revolutionized the world of communication creating a public and free infrastructure for communications, cannot be shutdown.
Anyone can create a Bitcoin address in order to receive and make payments 100% digitally without any cost and any intermediary.
Governments already realize that when they wants to control or censorship against Bitcoin they are advertising the Bitcoin value proposition.
When they try to kill Bitcoin only advertise the Bitcoin resilience.
Governments already understand the economic reality of Bitcoin and it’s more wise accept that try to kill Bitcoin.
People always find a way to get what they want. Societies are more stronger that any government!
What is the Future of Bitcoin?
