Ubiq Monthly Report — July 2019

Welcome to the Ubiq report for July 2019.
Development work continues this month, with the next releases of Sparrow and Gubiq being worked on. A new RPI node upgrade tool is also being coded to support our community with the continuing network upgrades.
We also posted a new Ubiq research article, detailing the business case of the platform and showing some examples of what can be built.
We have made more progress toward the next Sparrow update, with a lot of RPC back-end scalability work being done in order to make Ubiq a more stable platform to build upon.
There has also been work in coding a version of ETH Gas Station, which will allow users to more accurately predict the Gas required to transact on the Ubiq network.
New French Community Channel
Due to a large number of French community users reaching our discord channel, we opened a dedicated channel. #Ubiq-French can now be viewed in the world section along with the pre-existing China, Russia and Korea channels.
Discord bot flood protection
We have noticed an increase in Discord spam/bot activity and to protect the community we have recently implemented an automatic moderator notification for when a large number of users join discord in a short period of time.
We would like to thank the community for reporting these bots and assisting us with keeping the community safe.
RPI Update (Now with buttons!)
There has been a lot of community interest in running Single Board Computer (SBC) nodes, such as the Raspberry Pi.
Matt has been doing a fantastic job with his SBC setup guides, however Luke has been working hard on a user interface for in order to make setting up and managing a node as easy as possible.
This feature will make running a node accessible for any user, no matter how tech savvy they may or may not be.
