Token Swap Launched! – Essentia One
The day is here — the token swap process has begun! Since the mainnet is now active, the only step left for you to start running your Essentia masternodes is token swap. Here, we will do our best to provide as much information as possible — if you have any further questions, please refer them to the official Telegram channel!
The token/coin ration is 1:1, meaning that your one ESS token will be swapped to one ESS coin.
The token swap has started today, on Wednesday, December 11, and will not have a final date. You will be able to swap your tokens any time you want.
For now, the token swap is only possible to conduct via Essentia desktop application: we developed a simple and fast service for everything to go as smooth as possible.
If you hold your tokens anywhere other than the Essentia native wallet, including MEW, exchanges, hardware wallets, etc, you will have to transfer or import your tokens to the native wallet using your private key.
Note: For now the token swap is only available for Linux and macOS. Windows will be available later, stay tuned for the news.
If you choose not to swap your tokens, then you will not be able to set up a masternode.
The tokens you got during the airdrop campaign should also be swapped for ESS coins if you wish to deploy a masternode.
In the desktop application, you will be available to see both separate balances. Also, you can check your Ehtereum wallet balance on https://etherscan.io/ and ESS coin balance on https://blockexplorer.essentia.one/
Keep in mind, that in order to perform a token swap you will have to pay a regular ETH/GAS as a payment for the conducted transaction.
As the token swap proceeds, the 1% commission will also be taken from the total sum of tokens swapped.

It is a known fact that the token swap period is one of the times when scammers are especially active. Please be careful and remember that:
- The Essentia team member will never reach out to you first.
- You shouldn’t share any personal information including your private keys with anyone asking for them.
