The District Weekly — July 6th, 2019
News and updates from the district0x Network
This past week we published the first technical overview on Meme Factory, which covered submission, challenge, voting, and sales statistics. This data was gathered into a dashboard using scout.cool, a powerful analytics visualization tool for Ethereum blockchain protocols.
We also had the first public play test of ‘Game of Memes’, a Hearthstone clone built on a platform called Dulst. The game is not a Dapp but it will use Meme Factory exclusively to curate its content. This use case for a Token-Curated Registry highlights one of many ways the curated content can be externally valuable. The goal of this game is to be progressively community directed and developed through a series of bounties. Join discord and ask us how you can get involved.
We have continued publishing our contests to Cent.co. This gives people an opportunity who don’t have ETH to earn it and start using Meme Factory right away. This week’s design contest theme was Independance Day and we already have a number of great submissions. The deadline is Monday, so be sure to go vote for your favorite submissions.
Lastly, we contributed DANK and DNT to a Pictosis design contest. Pictosis is a crowdsourcing design platform and one of our earliest district proposals. Today is the last day to vote on the contest so don’t forget to go check it out!
Game of Memes is a Hearthstone clone that uses Meme Factory content exclusively to curate the game cards. In this video we show you how to play the game and dive into some of the features as well as how to get your own art into the game by using Meme Factory.
Stay tuned for our regular community livestream every other Tuesday at 3PM PDT (10PM UTC) as a forum for discussing recent updates to the district0x Network. You can join us on Mixer, Facebook, Twitch, and YouTube.
