An Investigation into the Mechanisms of the Nostr Protocol Relay
This investigation explored the relay mechanism of the Nostr protocol, a decentralized social media network. The relay is responsible for forwarding messages between clients and servers. The research analyzed the protocol’s specifications, implemented a relay, and conducted experiments to evaluate its performance. Results demonstrated that the relay effectively facilitates communication, supports multiple clients, and handles large message volumes. The findings provide insights into the underlying mechanisms and limitations of the Nostr relay, contributing to the understanding and optimization of the protocol for real-world applications.
