Spice 101: A Quick N’ Dirty Guide – SPICE

Spice is a relatively new token, and we know newbies will have doubts entering to this cryptocurrency madness. However, Spice is not only designed to be used by cryptocurrency enthusiasts. In fact, Spice is directed to people outside the cryptocurrency space, for them to express their feels through giving Spice to others, or being rewarded by their content on social media by receiving Spice.

This is the reason why we compiled a Spice 101 guide: a quick and dirty take on what Spice is, what is its purpose and where you can get it. A no nonsense compilation of knowledge coming to you to help you decide if Spice is really for you. So we’ll let it flow.

What Is Spice?

From a technical standpoint, Spice is a Bitcoin Cash SLP based token, and that gives it a lot of advantages over other tokens: fast transaction times, cheap fees and a secure platform. However, from the functional standpoint, Spice is so much more than that. Spice is a way of socializing with your peers, letting them know you care for them, and giving them a chance to care for you too.

Spice is a vehicle for rewarding people on social networks for their interesting content, so it can also be considered a stand alone tipping platform with a trusty distribution method in the form of SpiceBot.

SpiceBot is the distribution method that lets Spice flow through all the Internet. Being available for Twitter and for Telegram, it allows to tip content in these platforms, and deposit Spice from external sources for this. Of course, Spice can also be withdrawn to external addresses.

All content tipped in SpiceBot goes to a global board called SpiceFeed, a sort of aggregator of everything nice in the Internet. There you will find a collection of content with the tips of every user associated with it. You can also opt out of SpiceFeed, for privacy reasons.

Why Would I Use Spice Instead Of Normal Crypto To tip Content Online?

There are several reasons to use Spice instead of other platforms to tip content online. For starters, Spice does not need to sign up in any kind of service. It is decentralized, and just by adding SpiceBot in your telegram chat, or invoking him from a Twitter response, you will be able to reward your favorite content.

Also, Spice has been specially designed to be used in social networks, and it has emoji integration for tipping. The diamond emoji tips 1K Spice, and our Milk Bottle is designed to punish bad memes or Spice beggars by giving them 1 Scoville, the Spice equivalent of a Satoshi.

And finally, just because it is fun. All your tips can be visualized trough the SpiceFeed, and this will sometimes trigger more fun reactions and commentary from your friends.

How does tipping works?

Tipping is really easy using SpiceBot: you just need to type the amount of cryptocurrency as an answer to the spicy content you want to tip followed by the word spice in any Telegram chat where our SpiceBot is added as a member.

Also, you can tip people in Twitter just as easily: you just need to write the amount of Spice you wish to send and mention @spicetokens as an answer to the spicy tweet to be tipped.

I’m sold! Where can I buy and store Spice?

Spice is in its nascent stages, but there are several ways of getting Spice online. For newbies, Sideshift is the best choice. It lets users exchange any kind of cryptocurrency for spice quickly and without fuzz. However, for the more experienced ones there are various choices: Cryptophyl, CoinEx and Altilly have order books and function as normal exchanges.

Of course, another way of getting Spice is just earning it through content on social media. If your meme game is up to the task, you can visit Spice Token Official Telegram chat and show us your meme moves to be rewarded. Remember, memeing is the new mining. Alternatively, you can also go to the SpiceFaucet to receive some Spice every 24 hours. You just need to input your SLP address and the funds will be sent immediately .

For storing spice, users must download a SLP enabled Bitcoin Cash wallet. There are plenty of options on the table: Badger Wallet is the obvious choice for the average user, but there is also Electron Cash, Monarch and IFWallet.

The Spice team is working in making onboarding new users who have no cryptocurrencies yet an easy task, and new developments on this matter are being examined. The goal is to let anyone buy Spice using a credit or debit card online to make our userbase bigger.

Is this a Joke?

Spice is a funny development indeed, but it is by no means a joke. There are more than 5 dedicated developers that are working daily to make Spice greater under the guidance of the creator of the currency, Spicetoshi Tippamotto. New and exciting developments are being pushed: SpiceBot expansion to other social platforms, SpiceFeed interactivity updates and a new spicy blog are just bits of what the Spice Dev team is planning for the future.

Thanks for your interest in Spice. If you reached this point, you can also help me to build Spice further with your donations. SpiceBoi is user maintained, and any donation to these directions in BCH or Spice will be greatly appreciated.
