SparkPoint Developer Updates — September 2019 – theEcosystem
Another joint seminar attended alongside the CryptoSolitaire team last September 12 at Marison Hotel Legazpi. Speakers from the PCC discussed competition law, policy, and best practices. This is in line with PCC’s mandate of promoting competition awareness in the country. This is also part of our team’s continuous learning and improvement culture.
While our team were attending the PCC seminar on competition law in Legazpi City last September 12, our CEO, Andy Agnas was also attending a seminar in Naga City, not as a participant, but as a speaker. He discussed Blockchain technology to dozens of students from the Ateneo de Naga University.
A couple of weeks after the first Blockchain seminar at Ateneo de Naga, Andy was again a speaker, this time at the University of Nueva Caceres. The seminar was in partnership with the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants with the aim of promoting Blockchain and Cryptocurrency awareness among students and professionals in the financial sector.
Ateneo de Naga University and University of Nueva Caceres are among the biggest and most prestigious universities in the Bicol region. Our team is committed to sharing our Blockchain and Cryptocurrency knowledge to students and professionals in our region and the entire Philippines.
Our web developer, Phel redesigned our website from scratch. The old website did not reflect the current evolution of our company so it had to be overhauled. Some of the new information added include more details about our current projects, updated team and their profiles, partners, and affiliates. The new website also showcases the latest news about SparkPoint.
Our biggest update so far in our cryptocurrency wallet. You can now store, send, and receive Bitcoin on your SparkPoint wallet app. The wallet is still fully non-custodial with users having full ownership over their private keys. Our wallet now supports SRK, ETH, BTC, USDT, and BAT tokens. This is in preparation for a decentralized exchange that we are currently integrating into our wallet.
We’ve also rolled out several updates, improvements, fixes, and optimizations for our other apps resulting in a significantly smaller download size and better performance.
That’s it for our latest updates for the month of September. Please watch out for more updates from our team in the coming months!
