Soil has launched the RLUSD yield protocol on the XRP Ledger, positioning it as the first compliant real-world asset-backed yield solution for Ripple’s U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoin. This development allows RLUSD holders to deposit their tokens into vaults that provide fixed returns backed by various financial instruments. The launch comes shortly after the XRP Ledger surpassed Solana in distributed real-world asset value, highlighting the growing competition among blockchains for tokenized financial products. Additionally, the XRP Ledger has recently activated a permissioned decentralized exchange (DEX) amendment that enables institutions to create gated trading venues, further enhancing its infrastructure for regulated finance.
