Russia’s Finance Ministry reports that cryptocurrency turnover in the country has reached $650 million per day, equivalent to $130 billion annually. This development reflects the government’s growing recognition of cryptocurrencies as important components of the financial landscape. In response, Russian lawmakers are introducing new regulations to allow licensed exchanges and brokers to offer cryptocurrency services, signaling a move towards a more structured integration of crypto in the economy. Additionally, traditional exchanges such as MOEX are expanding their crypto derivatives offerings, as they already list Bitcoin and Ethereum futures and plan to add Solana, XRP, and TRON, thereby supporting the growth of regulated crypto trading in Russia.
