Request for Proposal #1: Enigma Network Explorer

Hello to the Enigma community! As we approach our mainnet token snapshot window (Aug 26-Sep 24) and the subsequent launch of networked testnet, we are happy to share our first public RFP: an Enigma Network Explorer.

At Enigma, we’re constantly looking for ways to expand and support our ecosystem and our developer community. Recently we announced a set of bounties for developers interested in developing “building block” secret contracts on Enigma.

Of course, we are also always looking for ways to improve how we do this. Previously we announced Enigma Growth Grants (EGGs) program. We were happy with the significant interest we saw from developers, but our process for collecting interest and following through was not ideal. The EGGs provided little detail, which made it very time consuming for our team to be able to navigate and assess different proposals. This slowed us down unnecessarily and made it harder to work directly with the community.

As we always try to learn from our missteps, we are now taking a much more effective approach: one where we provide thoroughly detailed Request For Proposals for different tooling needed in Enigma ecosystem.

Today marks the release of the first detailed Request For Proposal (RFP) for the Enigma network. We are excited to provide the details for an Enigma network explorer based on the Enigma registry contract that is deployed on Ethereum. If selected, the proposer will receive a grant in exchange for their work. The details of the RFP can be found in this PDF.

A short preview of the Enigma Network Explorer RFP. The full RFP can be found here.

Please fill out this form to apply. Make sure to attach your proposal, which will need to include proposal details, relevant work and previous experiences, budget and a timeline. We will collect applications until August 30th, 2019. We expect to respond to all applicants by mid-September.
