FAQ:

What is this for?
We have set up a community GitHub to manage governance, network improvement requests, voting, and to manage identities. In the future, you will use this to access API access keys, JWTs, and other credentials.

Do I have to be active on this?
After you are approved, you shouldn’t have to check it more than once a week (ideally every two weeks, as that’s when new nodes are switched in and out).

Why GitHub?
We wanted to keep a separate Identity System that is independent of the Company Proper, and that also adds the ability for multi-ownership, meaning that we will assign additional members as “Owners” so that we will not have complete control over it after the initial bootstrapping stage. Also, we wanted an identity system that is not tied to Google or Facebook, we encourage you to create an account that is separate just in case of account compromise.

Do I have to put my “real” information on this Github Account?
No, the only “real” information has to be the information listed on the Pull-Request.
