New Fortnite-Like Game With Built-In Lightning Network
The company Satoshis Games has announced the creation of the Fortnite-Like game — Lightnite — with the ability to earn BTCs and support for the Lightning Network.
According to the developers, eliminating the characters of other players, users can earn BTC. If a player loses his character, he loses the earned Bitcoin (BTC)s. In addition, you can buy in-game items and artifacts received from liquidated players for Bitcoin (BTC)s. And you can buy them not only for BTC but also for fiat money.
The player’s balance will be updated in real-time when dealing damage to another character, receiving damage, or finding a valuable item. If desired, players can exit the game and withdraw the money earned through the Lightning Network.
In order to attract a wider audience, not related to cryptocurrencies, Satoshis Games has provided the opportunity to play both in BTC mode and without Bitcoin.
“Non-Bitcoin users can play the mode with no Bitcoin features and they’ll eventually get attracted by the enhanced interactivity allowed by the Bitcoin-integration and start experimenting with this innovative technology. This is also a way through which we want to contribute to the Bitcoin mass adoption,” the developers of Satoshis Games write.
The gaming giant Ubisoft is also exploring the possibilities of the blockchain to apply in the field of computer games. About a year ago, hackers distributed malware for the online Fortnite Battle Royale game to steal user data and hack cryptocurrency wallets.
