Mistral AI CEO predicts 50% of enterprise software will shift to AI

Arthur Mensch, CEO of Mistral AI, announced that more than 50% of current enterprise software could be replaced by AI, a claim that heightens investor concerns over software stocks amid ongoing market sell-offs. This shift towards AI comes as businesses seek to replace costly legacy software-as-a-service (SaaS) systems with more efficient, custom applications for workflows such as procurement and supply chain management. Mensch’s comments were made during the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi, where he also revealed Mistral’s plans to open its first office in India, effectively aligning with the Indian government’s push for local AI models utilizing domestic data storage.
