Let’s talk about our game! – CryptoMotors

Hey, guys and gals!
It’s time we talk about the first CryptoMotors game.
We want to show you what we’ve been working on for the past months, and what you can expect from the Beta and final version of the game.
We’ve been building a web-based racing game where players will be able to race with their own CryptoMotors cars and compete to win fantastic rewards, such as tokens, auto-parts, and new vehicles.
The beta version will be released pretty soon. So, be sure to try it when it is out, your feedback will be incredibly helpful for us!
We wanted the first CryptoMotors game to be free to play and accessible to everyone from any mobile, tablet, or desktop device with an internet browser.
For the first time ever, players will be able to race their own NFT cars in an official CryptoMotors game and get rewarded for it.
You don’t have an NFT car? Don’t worry.
Users that don’t own a CryptoMotors car will be able to enjoy the game using free-to-play vehicles. However, they won’t be able to take part in tournaments or earn rewards.
There will be several available races a day, and players will have to choose in which tracks they want to race in and which cars to use.
This decision will have a huge impact on each player’s chances of winning. Every CryptoMotors model has a different set of stats that influence directly on the performance of the vehicle on the different maps.
The game is developed in PHP and Symfony4. We also used ReactJS for the frontend, NodeJS for the communication with blockchain, and Solidity for the smart contracts.
Important: Be aware that we are currently working on two separate games. The one we are talking about in this article is the CryptoMotors stats game. The other one is a 3D real-time racing game, which we’ll be talking about in another post. Our plan is to launch the stats game first and continue to work hard in the 3D game for the next months.
Each CryptoMotors car stats are randomly generated when the token is created. Every model has its own range of possible values for each category:
- Acceleration
- Top speed
- Handling
- Grip
- Braking
The variations in the cars’ statistics have a direct influence on the performance of the vehicles in the tracks.
For example, a car that has high handling and braking will perform way better in a race with a lot of sharp curves, in comparison with a vehicle that hasn’t.
However, not only the statistics will impact on the result of the races. The RNG will also play its part since it’ll affect the cars and the race outcome.
The first build of the game will feature two different tracks (we’ll tell you more about them when we’re closer to the Beta’s release date). Our plan is to continually create different maps and release them on a regular basis with each new update.
Tracks will have varying types of terrains, weather conditions, and different diagrams.
Players that want to increase their chances of winning will have to wisely choose their CryptoMotors cars and pick the most appropriate for each track.
By winning races, players will earn EXP points. These points will allow them to level up their avatars and unlock new tracks, and get auto-parts and tokens.
Although it is not defined yet, our plan for the future is to allow players to earn ETH and other cryptocurrencies by participating in tournaments.
We want all of you to help us make a great game. The beta version will be out pretty soon and we would like to take this opportunity to test the game’s mechanics.
Your feedback will be hugely valuable to us.
Although during the beta phase, players will be able to earn experience and level up, rewards will only be available for further iterations of the game.
We want to ensure that the game’s bug-free, the rules are properly balanced, and the mechanics cannot be exploited in any way.
This is an excellent opportunity for CryptoMotors users to see their own digital cars in action. So fasten your seatbelt and join us on this fantastic journey.
