Kazakhstan’s central bank announced its plan to invest up to $350 million from its gold and foreign exchange reserves into cryptocurrency and related instruments, as stated by governor Timur Suleimanov. This initiative aligns with a broader trend of sovereign interest in digital assets as components of reserve diversification. To manage these investments, the central bank will enlist hedge funds for custody and management, aiming to create a dedicated crypto portfolio that could also include seized digital assets.
