Hello2020. – Phil Ngo – Medium
Where do I even start? So much has changed over the last 10 years that it’s hard to sum up in one post. Just think about what you were doing 10 years ago and ask yourself:
Did you ever think you’d be where you are right now?
Did you ever see yourself doing what you’re doing now?
Did you ever think that you’d be hanging out around the people you’re around now?
Whatever happened to this person I used to hang out with on a daily basis in 2010?
What do I know now that I didn’t back then?
That’s just life. It’s progression. It means you’ve had 3,650 days to acquire new knowledge, improve your lifestyle and make some efficiencies based on your own life circumstances.
Now that you’re 10 years wiser: What’s one thing you’ll do now that you didn’t do back in 2010?
For me, it’s all about perspective. Rather than reflect on the last 10 years, let’s use that experience to foresee the next 10 years. 10 years ago, I didn’t look at what 2020 would look like. I only cared about finishing my university projects at hand.
Now in 2020, I’m already looking forward to what 2030 will bring. The foresight of what the next 10 years may bring, could make all the difference in how you plan your life, what you need to learn, what you need to achieve and what changes you need to make to get there. I’ve learned that technology will vastly shape how we live our lives and how we do business with each other. Technology is where I belong. Just think about how your mobile phone has shaped your post-2010 life.
