GitGuardian has secured $50 million in a Series C funding round led by Insight Partners to enhance its focus on non-human identity governance and AI agent security. This funding injection comes at a time when enterprises are increasingly adopting autonomous AI agents, which in turn amplifies the need for robust management of machine identities and credentials. GitGuardian’s platform, which specializes in identifying and managing secrets across development workflows, will leverage these funds to expand into new markets, including APAC, South America, and the Middle East, while strengthening its capabilities in North America and Europe. CEO Eric Fourrier emphasized the critical importance of evolving non-human identity solutions, pointing to the market’s need to manage thousands of AI agents securely, an area where the company aims to advance beyond traditional secrets detection.
