Fascinating Metrics About Crypto-Assets: Highlights and Slide Deck
A few days ago, I presented a session about data intelligence for crypto-assets at the prestigious TradeTechFX conference that brings together some of the top FX trading firms in the world. The concept of the session was to highlight some unique insights that could be derived from using data science against crypto datasets.
The entire slide deck can be found below.
A few highlights that are worth mentioning:
Crypto-Assets bring new factors to quantitative analysis that can be extrapolated fundamentally from blockchain datasets.
Analyses such as IntoTheBlock’s In-Out of the Money around the current price provide more objectives levels of support and resistance for crypto-assets.
Calculating the age on individual cryptocurrencies help us understand possible changes in sentiment in its investor based as shown in IntoTheBlock’s UTXO analysis.
Exchange inflows and outflows and inventory analysis help us understand money movements that could influence price.
Combining orderbook data fees from exchanges and blockchain information can help add more clarity against factors such as wash trading, spoofing etc. This is the goal of IntoTheBlock’s on-chain exchange market depth analysis.
The idea of these slides is to highlight the unique levels of intelligence that can be achieved by combining the unique data factors of crypto-asset with the traditional factors of other asset classes. Crypto data analysis it’s still in its infancy but the opportunities are remarkable and the challenges fascinating.
