Ether-1 Development Update #5 – The Ether-1 Project

DNP — The Milestones:

PHASE 1:

1. Work out known syncing and forking bugs as well as improve other problem areas that were identified on Xerom during the few months of testing.
2. Deploy and convert the existing node system on Ether-1, removing centralized infrastructure. This will elevate Ether-1 into a league of its own!
3. Fully enable ethoFS revenue sharing; DNP remainder addresses were designed in part to assist with revenue sharing dispersal.

PHASE 2:

1. Integrate ethoFS into Geth (that’s what runs the Ether-1 blockchain) by condensing it down to its own standalone library to be imported as needed. This will remove some of the current inaccuracies that occur when defining an active node. When integrated as a library, the node will either be synced or not synced, allowing DNP to take over all verification responsibilities!
2. Decentralize ethoFS boot nodes; DNP will pull ethoFS IDs from a smart contract deployed on the ETHO chain removing the requirement to maintain a parallel set of core nodes.
