Elmin Redzepagic, a New England man, has been charged in a 21-count indictment related to alleged cryptocurrency fraud, as announced by the U.S. Justice Department. He reportedly lost nearly $1 million of investors’ money on the offshore gambling site Stake.com while posing as an expert investor between May 2021 and March 2025. Redzepagic faces multiple charges, including wire fraud and international money laundering, as he allegedly misled investors into believing they were earning high returns and cited a fictitious need for fees to withdraw nonexistent gains. This case reflects a broader trend, as the DOJ has intensified its efforts against crypto fraudsters employing similar deceptive tactics to manipulate investor trust.
