DELTA Summit OKEx Malta Tech Week 2019
Also on the first day of the summit, Enzo Villani, our Head of International Strategy and Innovation, announced OKEx’s initiative to establish a global self-regulatory organization (SRO) across crypto exchanges in his keynote “The Next Phase for Crypto Exchanges”.
In his speech, he acknowledged the importance of regulation in developing jurisdictionally compliance and trust for the industry to grow further. To this end, he took reference to the US’s Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and the World Economic Forum and proposed to build a self-regulatory body with industry players.
As described, the SRO will promote digital asset adoption globally by defining and adopting standards, educating governments and regulators, and developing metrics and criteria for trading, listings, and reporting. Further details will be made known in the soonest future.
The first day of the summit was ended with this enjoyable gala dinner. We were very excited to be joining the Awards Ceremony, giving exposure and credits to all hardworking companies and individuals in the tech sphere here in Malta. Jay Hao, CEO of OKEx, was honored to present the Start Up of the Year Award 2019 to Aurora design Solutions. Hard work pays off!
Another amazing day of DELTA Summit kicked off with the world’s first holographic live music performance on the main stage. Great vibes, visitors, and media interviews kept coming at the OKEx booth throughout the day. We were thrilled to have met all the amazing people there.
Entertained by the astounding performance by a local DJ, our guests began the evening after the closing ceremony of the DELTA Summit at our closing party. Everyone was so indulged in the sips and nibbles, dancing, networking, and lots of fun after the hustle and bustle during the summit.
