Phantom’s launch of Phantom Chat, intended as a social feature in 2026, has sparked security concerns from on-chain investigator ZachXBT, who warned it could expose users to asset theft through “address poisoning”. ZachXBT noted that Phantom has not yet addressed this vulnerability, exemplified by a recent incident where a user lost 3.5 WBTC.
