Coinbase has announced that the OPN-PERP market will enter a halt mode on both Coinbase International Exchange and Coinbase Advanced, where users will be able to post and cancel limit orders, but no trades will be executed for a minimum of one minute. OPN-PERP is a perpetual futures contract for Opinion, a decentralized prediction market platform on the BNB Chain that allows users to bet on real-world events. This announcement comes as Coinbase continues to actively launch new perpetual futures markets, such as ROBO and NIGHT, in early 2026 as part of its efforts to enhance trading options for both retail and institutional clients.
