The BNB Beacon Chain Token Recovery Tool has officially begun its sunset phase, urging asset holders to migrate their BEP2 tokens to the BNB Smart Chain promptly to ensure faster processing times. This transition is crucial as only tokens mirrored to BEP20 on BNB Smart Chain will be eligible for recovery, while tokens that never underwent this mirroring, as well as BEP84 permissionless mirroring, will be permanently ineligible. The sunset process will unfold in three phases, with recovery times increasing from a week to requiring manual user transactions by mid-2026, marking a significant step in consolidating Beacon Chain’s staking and governance roles onto the BNB Smart Chain.
