Bitwise donates $233K from Bitcoin ETF profits to open-source developers

What Happens to Bitcoin Price When ETF Flows Slow

Bitwise, a crypto asset management firm, has donated $233,000 to three open-source Bitcoin development organizations, marking its second annual contribution aimed at supporting the maintenance of the Bitcoin network. This donation comes from profits generated by its Bitcoin ETF, BITB, which currently has over $2.7 billion in assets under management. The funds were allocated to Brink, OpenSats, and the Human Rights Foundation’s Bitcoin Development Fund, mirroring a similar donation of $150,000 made last year. Bitwise co-founder and CTO Hong Kim emphasized the importance of investing in independent developers to uphold Bitcoin’s integrity and foster the ecosystem’s growth.
