Bitcoin miner Bitdeer has surpassed MARA to become the largest publicly traded miner by self-mining hash rate, achieving 63.2 exahashes per second (EH/s) compared to MARA’s 60.4 EH/s, according to JPMorgan analysts. This significant shift comes after Bitdeer, which mined 668 Bitcoin in January, increased its mining capacity by 8 EH/s through the deployment of proprietary SEALMINER rigs. In contrast, MARA has refocused on AI data center services and no longer prioritizes Bitcoin production, marking a strategic divergence in the sector.
